St Chad’s, Shrewsbury’s civic church, is welcoming businesses and social organisations, schools and other charities to sponsor a tree at its sixth Christmas Tree Festival from 15th December; the trees will remain on display until 5th January.

Admission is free to the Festival, at which community organisations, schools, colleges and musical groups will be taking part in the daily programme. It’s a special experience over Christmas and the New Year with some beautifully decorated Christmas trees of the more than fifty in the wonderful ambience of St. Chad’s; a real Christmastide treat for all the family.

The trees are sponsored by the generosity of local businesses, community organisations and schools, colleges and musical groups. Those schools mainly and other organisations taking part as performers, without sponsoring a tree, are most welcome and take part without charge in this celebration of Christmas. It’s a special experience, with some beautifully decorated Christmas trees in the wonderful ambience of St. Chad’s; a real Christmastide treat for all the family.
